Typically, if neither you nor your spouse has a previous criminal record then a partner visa application only needs to demonstrate to the department that the relationship is genuine and continuing. If you are able to demonstrate that your relationship is genuine and continuing, we will be able to demonstrate the strongest possible case to the department.
Applying in Australia will allow your spouse to continue to reside in Australia while the department processes the visa.
- IF you are already married in overseas, we can start with applying for a visitor visa first and then apply for a partner visa once your spouse has arrived in Australia
- IF however, you aren't currently married and your fiance is overseas, you can consider applying for a prospective marriage visa
